At Nalo Farms, Dean strives to be an active member of the community. In addition to his genorous donations of Nalo Greens for numerous community organizations. Dean is also on the Board of Advisors for both Kapiolani and Leeward Community College Culinary Arts Program, Hawai'i Agriculture Foundation and does many speaking engagments on Agriculture in Hawaii throughout the State and the mainland.
